Galvalume-coated steel coils are divided into anti-fingerprint (AFP) galvalume steel coils and ordinary aluzinc steel coils.
Galvalume steel coils, also known as aluzinc steel coil, are composed of 55% aluminum, 43.4% zinc, and 1.6% silicon by weight. The production process of al-zn steel coils are similar to that of galvanized steel coils and aluminum-coated coil, which is a continuous fusion coating process. Galvalume-coated steel coils with 55% Al-Zn alloy coating have superior corrosion resistance when exposed to the same environment on both sides compared with galvanised steel coils of the same thickness. The 55% aluminum-zinc alloy coated GL steel coil not only has good corrosion resistance, but also its color-coated steel coil products have excellent adhesion and flexibility.
